CATHOLIC MEMORIES

Where are the Catholic people / friends?? I went to a catholic school Mokwo Girls High school mokwo girls and we had a routine (I guess thrice a week) – this was like about 6am, and we had to go for a mass (if not a marathon Bernd). I always participated in the liturgical dances (Since I was 6), and it was awesome. I still have the lyrics in my head. As a child (about 6-10), my dream was to serve the Catholic Church. I did everything, all, whatever you may call it to become part of it ( I think, I got this from my mum = she wanted to be a nun, before she was married off), OK OK, I did not want to be a nun, I liked boys J but I loved the catholic lifestyle. So….well…I joined the liturgical dancers with the age of 6, and my mum was sooo proud of me….at least I loved dancing and acting (Guess I was a drama queen)….well, it went great.  With adolescence stage where girls got their ‘butts’ and ‘tits’, I wasn’t favoured at all….I was ‘all flat’ ha ha ha……yeah, I am laughing with you…you should see me now….’WARNING’…just downwards….lol,

Well, let’s go on with the story, I got really hooked up with the liturgy dances, I started acting, and in primary school, I wasn’t a favourite, there were better actresses than I was. Linda- I envied you like no problem!!! You were as slim as I was, but you beat me ‘kabisa’…I know I should stick to the story…..SO, today, like it’s usual with my son and I, almost every weekend, I introduce him to a toy that I played with as a child….this time around, they were bottle tops…..ok, those days, we used FANTA and COCA COLA bottle tops, in EUROPE, it’s more likely the BEER tops …ha ha ha ha…..yeah well, we are a beer family if not wine, and I have a collection of over a year (NO JUDGING)…lol ;-)

So today, we made our 'beer' bottle tops into a musical instrument (Kim and I) and turned our balcony into a 'church' and we did this!!! It's a FRIDAY!!!! We are yet to make more….so you have the opportunity to run away now, before we do ….enjoy your weekend guys…much love!!!!

KIM'S BIRTHDAY

It's June, and our son Kim is gonna be turning 5. I wanna make this year memorable, as I wasn't much around last year and couldn't host a party for him. He is currently into Batman and angry birds (all superheroes characters), so I am gonna be using these themes for the birthday.
So far, I have managed to finish preparing the online invitations, and Kim will help me with the 'snail mail' ones. I am really excited, though we have no date fixed yet. His birthday is on the 17th, but since it's a weekday, we will shift it to a weekend, either the following or the next.

I am still looking for ideas for making the cake. I suck at cake making, but wanna do it!! I know, not a good idea, will try though, otherwise run to a shop in the last minute...lol, just kidding. So here is the card.

Moving on - Mama is happy

I made a decision to open a blog exclusively for mum and the story surrounding her. I don’t regret my decision and I will keep posting.

It has been a tough and sad road for everyone who was involved in one way or the other. Finally we have good news. We have settled everything, and I am proud to say that we are moving on.

Forgiveness is key – I did this already sometime back, and was always looking forward to calmness. It was unnecessary to point fingers, as that wouldn’t yield any results.

There is nothing much to say, but very thankful for the strength and love that surrounded all of us to make a resolution.

We have great plans, and keeping mums legacy going on, and that is what we will do. Thanks to all who took part in this.

6 MONTHS TODAY

I can’t imagine that it is already six months. This for me is a good sign, as you still live in me. I have learned to talk to you in different ways, hear and see you too. You are a sign of inspiration to me and my family.
We went to church today with Kim, Bernd couldn’t make it (you know work – duty calls), but he was there with us spiritually.

We lit three candles for you, from all of us, and even the priest said a prayer. We love you mummy and always will. Thank you for being here with us and shinning on us.
